The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a special challenge for eligible Petfinder.com member shelter and rescue groups. The grand prize is a $20,000 grant, and they will be awarding many other grants to rescue groups with the most votes — a total of $100,000 in grants for animal welfare organizations. We are a bit behind at getting you this notice. So vote...every day and tell all of your friends and family to vote too. Last year we won a photo contest this way!

All you have to do is click to help rescued animals, and then vote in The Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter+ Challenge. Both of these actions are absolutely free! Every time you vote, or tell a friend to vote, you are making a huge difference for us.

We also have a couple of anonymous friends of the Rabbit Haven setting up a matching challenge. If the Haven is in the top 15 rabbit groups nationwide or the top 15 shelters of any kind in California, they will donate $250 to The Rabbit Haven. If the Haven is in the top 10 in either of these categories, they will double the donation to $500. You can help us achieve this goal by voting each day and telling all your friends and family to vote too!

This is HUGE. FOURTEEN rabbits were adopted at our most recent adoption fair. FOURTEEN!!! You need to share this information with all of your animal loving friends. This is rejuvenating news friends! This is going to be tough to top but we are SO up to the challenge. We knew 2009 was going to be awesome! Seriously, share this information!

This mom and her babies have been rescued by The Rabbit Haven! They are safe now, but we have just discovered that the mother bunny is pregnant, and will probably have another litter in the next few days.
